One day – many race options
Stavanger Marathon has start and finish at the square outside Stavanger Cathedral. The church is the oldest cathedral in Norway and from the first half of the 1100s.

Marathon 09:00 6 hours
Half marathon 09:40 3 hours and 30 min.
5 km 13:00 45 min.
Kids race 14:00 6-10 years (1000 m)
Kids race 14:20 0-5 years (600 m)
To participate, you will need to have a licence from the Norwegian Athletics Federation (Read more here). A single license can be bought together with registration for the rac (30 -50 NOK). Full year license can be bought on the website of Norges Friidrettsforbund.
Your bib number for the race can be collected in ground floor of Arkaden Torgterrassen, Kirkegata 2. Friday August 24th between 11:00 – 19:00, and on Saturday August 25th between 08.00 -13.00.
Online entries ends Friday, 25 Aug. at 24:00. No late registration on race day, except for the kids race. Here you can also register at the tent for Information in the square from 13:00.
Time keeping is done by Ultimate Sport Service with electronic chips on your starting number. Everyone will get a net time, timed from the moment they pass the start line.
All participants receive a medal.
The three quickest women and men, regardless of age group, in each of the 5 km, 21 km and 42 km races will receive prizes.
1. place: 5.000 NOK, 2. place: 3.000 NOK, 3. place: 1.000 NOK

There will be storage facilities in tents at the starting area, in which you can also change clothes. Personell will be survailling the bags, but the runners are encouraged not to put valuables in the bags. Unfortnunately we can not offer showering facilities after the race.
Drink stations situated every 4-5 km. Water and sports drinks available (only water at the first station). Sports drink is always first. If you want to bring your own bottle, you can fill it up with water at every drink station. Squeezy gel for marathon runners at 14 and 27 km, banana at 35 og 39 km and Coke at 23 km. Banana for half marathon at 14 and 17 km.
After the race you will have a pasta salad (also vegetarian alternative), banan and one bottle of water.
Toilet at every drink station for 21 and 42 km.

Marathon: 3:30, 4:00 and 4:30.
Half marathon: Every 10 minutes from 1:30 to 2:20

We encourage all our participants to take the bus, walk or cycle on the day of the race. If you have a car, you can park here.
Entrants unable to participate in their race will, unfortunately, not be able to obtain a refund, nor will they be able to transfer their entry into a later race arranged by the same organiser.
It is possible to give or sell your number. Please see the e-mail you received after registration, where you will find a link, user name and password, so you can change the personal information.
