There are approximately 330 meters of climbing along the way.  The race is recommended to anyone who wants to experience the beautiful natural areas Stavanger has to offer. Just over half of the course is on asphalt, the rest on very runnable gravel. You run around the 3 lakes, and along both Hafrsfjord and Gandsfjorden. We think many people will enjoy running a little later than what they might be able to do on a good day. This year we&#8217;re taking the straight way out. You&#8217;ll pass the mighty &#8220;Swords in the mountains&#8221; along Hafrsfjord. Then the trip starts down to the beautiful bike path along Gandsfjorden.   In total, the course has about 160 meters of ascent, many of which come at the start. So don&#8217;t run stiff here. 80% of the course is on asphalt, the rest on gravel.<\/p>\n<p>Half marathon is a distance many people like to take part in, and maybe we&#8217;ll see you at the starting line this year!? The race has many great pacers who can motivate you along the way. Very nice if as many people as possible use this!<\/p>\n<p>At the start, the children are asked to start by age, so that the oldest are at the front. The 6-9 year olds start behind the portal. 0-5 year olds line up along Haakon 7s gate towards Olav 5s gate. <\/p>\n<p>The trail itself is 450 meters long. Bananbit is also offered at stations 7, 8 and 9.<br \/>\nFor the half marathon, bananbit is offered at stations 2, 3 and 4. At the last station, you will also get chewy men. We take the trail and weather and wind conditions into account. We run more slowly on headwinds and headwinds, while it goes a little faster when there is a reduction in altitude or a tailwind.
